To all mail recipients of unwanted mail from admin@pohly.net and <some name>@pohly.net

I sincerely apologize for the unwanted mail that originated or appears to originate from my domain.  The mail account admin@pohly.net was hacked, and the hackers subsequently sent tens of thousands of spam messages all over the world before I could shut down the account.

Since then, the hackers continue to use admin@pohly.net and random names <name>@pohly.net to send spam globally, spoofing the address to make it appear the mail is coming from the pohly.net domain.

I assure you I do not originate spam.  This spam did not originate from me or any entity under my authority or control.   I have owned this domain for over twenty years as a way of keeping a consistent email address.  Unfortunately, there is currently no way for me or anyone else to prevent this type of fraud, illegally posing as someone else through email. 

It is a nuisance for all.

Please accept my apologies that you are a victim of the perpetrators of this unwanted mail and discard it.
